Tampa Bay at Minnesota
The nicknames of these teams are synonymous with historical figures that were known for pirating, adventure, and exploring. While the Minnesota Vikings have found success so far this season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still exploring for some semblance of consistency in every aspect of the game. Josh Freeman’s inconsistencies have been a huge area of concern for the Bucs as Freeman is expected to be their franchise quarterback. The franchise quarterback tag labels a player that could eventually lead a team to multiple playoffs and hopefully a SuperBowl. That franchise quarterback label is in question for not just Freeman, but also his opponent in week eight, Christian Ponder. Ponder has merely been quarterback behind a very good rushing offense and the beneficiary of a solid defense. The quarterback that limits the number of mistakes he makes will lead his team to victory this Thursday Night. Josh Freeman and the Bucs will prove to be a hindrance in the Vikings fast start, as Christian Ponder’s turnovers will prove too costly for Minnesota.
